DNC Uses Russian War Ships As Backdrop While Thanking Troops

Democratic officials apologized Wednesday for mistakenly displaying an image of the Russian Navy during a tribute to America’s veterans at last week’s Democratic National Convention. But they also used their response to take a swipe at Republican rival Mitt Romney.

The Russian warships, many of Soviet-era origin, were shown on a giant screen Sept. 6 above 50 veterans while retired Adm. John Nathman honored veterans’ contributions to America. The former sailor who spotted the error and notified Navy Times had asked for an apology.

The Democratic National Convention Committee did just that in a statement Wednesday, but also criticized Romney for failing to mention service members during his convention speech in Tampa, Fla.

  1. this just does not suprise me at all,after all the most of these socalled democrats are nothing more than run of the mill rotten stinking communists and we all know how russia thinks about their politics any way this obama adminestration has brought one very important fact to light that being that our government all the way to the executive branch is chock full of communists this includes mr ovomit,november 6 we must send a very loud message to this bunch of goons and retake our government this must not fail nomatter how many tricks they play or just how many dead people,dogs or illegal ailens illegally vote we must all get out and vote as well as keeping an eye on our voting precints to keep these cheaters from voting more than once
