Last night, I had the pleasure of participating in a panel discussion hosted by the Washington Post on the events surrounding Watergate.
I should say upfront that as one of the few Republicans in the room, it was great to contribute to yet another Watergate celebration. Liberals have so little to cheer about politically nowadays, they’re reduced to reliving events from 40 years ago.

I count it an honor to be able to leave a comment on the blog of someone who was actually a part of the Watergate proceedings.
I believe that the Watergate scandal left an indelible mark on my generation — the one that was passing through junior high and high school at the time, and had its youthful idealism and naïveté about government exploded earlier than I think the previous generation’s had. As a middle school history teacher, I’ve endeavored to explain to my students just how disillusioning that entire period was. I put together a video summarizing the events. I heard they are trying to keep Ron Paul from speaking at the Convention in Tampa. If this is so big mistake—-he has a big following especially among the young. The ESTABLISHMENT needs to lighten up before we start a 3rd party. Please pass this message along. Thank you, Bjohns
I agree Watergate is an event to celebrate.
Now lets have an ObamaGate. Obama is not a natural born citizen as required by the constitution (which is being challenged in Florida). Congress did not vet Obama’s credentials as they did McCain. Why??? Because he was black and blacks credentials shouldn’t be challenged??? It is not unusual for blacks to use race card when anyone doesn’t agree with them especially if their performance is criticized. There are many black men that I admire highly; Obama isn’t one of them because he is doing great harm to our country. Obama isn’t qualified to be President; am I racist. I would accept Cain as a President (if he meets the qualifications for president and he is bladker than Obama). In fact he was my pick for President before he dropped out.
The reason for the natural born requirement is to assure that the candidate does not have mixed allegiances. Obviously Obama does because of his background.
I believe we need a congressional investigation as to whether Obama meets the constitutional requirements for President (which he does not, both his parents were not citizens) and to top it all why the deception about the birth certificate and his selective service registration????
When the President identified himself with the bogus birth certificate he committed fraud.
Congress needs to do something – this is just going to get worse.

Watergate is treated as though it were the crime of the century. The tapes clearly showed that Nixon had no part in the break-in. He scolds the perpetrators for being stupid to pull such a trick. His crime was lying to protect his friends.
Furthermore, I am sure every presidential campaign pulls tricks much more vile that breaking into the opponent’s campaign office.
The film suggests that the witch hunt was non-partisan, but the left had been trying to destroy Nixon for a long time. Nixon had successfully prosecuted their darling Alger Hiss and exposed the communist conspiracy cells to the world.
I think Obama is Nixon reincarnated! If it wasn’t for the fact that he was born in Kenya before ole dicky trick died in CA.

TOO MANY people don’t have a CLUE as to what’s in the Holy Bible Fred! If t hey would only follow what the Holy Spirit wants, None of any of this gay stuff or abortions would ever happen. FOlks would desire rightesiouness uinstead of self centeredness. Its a crying shame that the best selling most influential Book in the World is not read or even desired much here int he US and certianly not Europe. They are paying a HEAVY price for that in the infiltration of Isalm!!!
Both books need to be read! The Quran and the Holy Bible! Then when the stark differences are understood, the reader needs to search his heart!
